THE NIGHT OF THE IGUANA

+ Lusty defrocked minister Lawrence Shannon is a tour guide in 1940s Mexico . Leading a tourist group from a Baptist women's college, he finds it difficult to avoid acting on his attraction to Charlotte the young niece of the group's leader, the bitter and God-fearing Judith Fellowes. When Fellowes swears to ruin him, Shannon strands the bus at a hotel to seek advice from Maxine the manager, his blunt and unapologetic friend. Meanwhile, an artist, the angelic looking Hannah and her poet grandfather, Nonno, arrive at the hotel after wandering across Mexico meagerly subsisting on the sale of their sketches and poems. Over the course of one night, Hannah comforts and calms the alcoholic Shannon as his madness spirals out of control.
